What you will learn
The same syllabus as the standard course, compressed: fewer sessions, more hours in each, with breaks built in.
Every DET question type gets a clear strategy, practical drills, personal Speaking and Writing correction, and a full mock test before the real exam.
- Reading — Read and Select, Fill in the Blanks, Read and Complete and Interactive Reading, and how to keep control of your time inside them.
- Listening — Listen and Type, Interactive Listening and Summarize the Conversation: catching detail first time, because there is no replay.
- Speaking — Read Aloud, Speak About the Photo, Read Then Speak, Listen Then Speak and the Speaking Sample: planning fast, then speaking fluently.
- Writing — Write About the Photo, Interactive Writing and the Writing Sample: structure, range and accuracy under pressure.
Homework goes in between sessions and is corrected personally before the next one, so nothing gets repeated for the sake of it.
You also rehearse the adaptive rhythm of the exam: difficulty moves with your answers, so a hard item late in a section is a good sign, and a calm complete attempt always beats abandoning the question.

The content is identical. The intensive saves time but asks more of you: full attention in the session, and serious work on the homework in between.
What matters most when your test is days away
The facts that actually change your plan in the final stretch:
- Scoring: 10–160 in 5-point steps, with 4 subscores (Literacy, Comprehension, Conversation, Production) and 4 skill scores. Many programmes set a subscore minimum as well as an overall one — check both.
- Validity: results are valid for 2 years, so a good score now still covers a deferred intake.
- Length: the exam takes about an hour, which is why stamina and pacing drills matter more than extra vocabulary lists in the last week.
- Acceptance: 6,000+ institutions worldwide, strong across US, UK, Canadian, Australian and Irish universities — but not accepted for the Australian subclass 500 visa, and not a UKVI SELT. Canada’s SDS route ended in November 2024, so the regular study permit applies and your institution decides the English evidence. Confirm with the admissions office.
- Targets: 95–105 for many bachelor programmes, 110–120 for most universities, 120–130 for competitive and graduate programmes.

What is covered in the final week?
Full mock tests under exam conditions, then targeted repair on whatever the mock exposes — usually Production and Conversation — plus pacing drills for the adaptive sections.
